Ramana Koti is the founder and owner of TerraVert Sustainability Services, LLC, based in the Atlanta metro area, where he specializes in sustainable design facilitation and building performance. With over 20 years of experience, his expertise primarily spans the sectors of higher education and commercial mixed-use buildings. At TerraVert, he is dedicated to ensuring green building projects start off on the right foot, address challenges effectively, and communicate their sustainability narratives effectively. Before founding TerraVert, Ramana led the sustainable design facilitation and building performance efforts for the commercial mixed-use practice at HKS. His role included practice-level leadership and advocacy, emphasizing an inclusive and integrative approach to project initiation, goal measurement, and the delivery of quantified outcomes. Ramana is a prolific contributor to the field of sustainable architecture, having authored several technical papers on daylighting and energy performance in buildings. He is an active blogger on topics related to green building. His commitment extends into his volunteer work with the AIA 2030 Commitment Working Group and the USGBC at both local and national levels. Since 2015, Ramana has been a certified ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) and was honored as a LEED Fellow in 2019.Â
