At cove.tool, our goal is to build a better world through fighting climate change with our products. This could not be possible without our passionate team to drive the cause!
Meet one of our talented team members, Turner McAfee, cove.tool’s Enterprise Account Executive.
We met up with Turner to ask a few questions about his position at cove.tool, his thoughts about the company, and what keeps him busy outside of work.
1. What drew you to cove.tool and what are 3 words to describe the company?
Being able to apply my sales skills in a role that actively contributes to environmental preservation was a major attraction for me. The sense of pride I feel in being able to sell something meaningful to the world is incredibly fulfilling. Three words that I would use to describe cove.tool as a whole are innovation, meaningfulness, and sustainability.
2. What is your role at cove.tool? What is a typical day like for you, and how do you stay motivated?
I am a sales executive here at cove.tool, and I am motivated by witnessing my clients achieve success in the realm of sustainability, even if they have never engaged in this type of work before. My typical day is filled with meetings with prospective clients who are seeking to incorporate more sustainable practices into their projects. cove.tool approaches sustainability in an easy-to-understand way, making our platform an educational tool as much as a key software for our clients' businesses to keep growing.
3. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I would live in Vail, Colorado as I could still coach hockey teams as well as go skiing whenever I wanted to. Best of both worlds!
4. If you could switch your job with anyone else within the company, which department would you want?
I would love to try out the Research Department and witness firsthand the extent of their work and the significance they hold within our company. The Research Team plays a crucial role in assisting me with running demos and addressing all the technical inquiries from my clients. Without their support, I would undoubtedly be constantly lost.
5. What are your thoughts on cove.tool's impact on sustainability? What are your hopes for the future?
cove.tool provides a pathway for everyday AEC industry workers to embrace sustainability, even without extensive prior knowledge in the field. I believe that in the future, cove.tool will become a standard tool used in universities to educate the next generation of AEC employees, demonstrating how simple it is to reduce carbon and energy impacts in building design, while facilitating data-driven decision-making during the initial project stages. Not only do we contribute to raising awareness about sustainability, but we also assist design teams in avoiding revisions and completing projects on time.
